This survey explores how people perceive and evaluate AI-generated content on digital platforms, including trust, quality, and the ability to recognize whether content is created by humans or artificial intelligence.

In this survey, the term “AI slop” is used to describe low-quality, repetitive, or misleading AI-generated content that may appear on social media or other online platforms. The term does not refer to all AI-generated content, but specifically to content that is perceived as having little value or authenticity.
